Maison Helya is recruiting a Caretaker Couple to work on an exceptional private estate located in the Gard region, near Nîmes.

In a large house occupied by an elderly couple, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the house and grounds, as well as providing daily support to the wife, who is ill.

Missions & responsabilities of a Caretaker couple:

Interior – House Management:

• Ensure the complete and meticulous upkeep of the house
• Manage daily grocery shopping
• Prepare meals (for 2 people under normal circumstances)
• Provide discreet and unobtrusive service
• Oversee the overall smooth running of the house
• Provide attentive support and daily assistance to the lady of the house

Exterior – Upkeep & Maintenance

• Ensure the routine maintenance of the extensive estate
• Maintain the well-kept exterior spaces
• Maintain and care for the estate’s trees, particularly the numerous olive trees (pruning, care, monitoring)
• Carry out minor repairs and technical interventions
• Supervise and coordinate the existing external teams (6 people employed year-round) as needed

Required profile:

• Couple expérimenté en maison privée ou domaine
• Excellente maîtrise des standards d’entretien intérieur
• Compétences solides en entretien extérieur et bricolage
• Sens du service, discrétion et bienveillance indispensables
• Autonomie, polyvalence et sens des responsabilités
• Permis B obligatoire
• À l’aise avec un environnement isolé, en pleine campagne
